The Polytechnic, Imesi-Ile has a library that enable the students to have access o variety of books and conducive environment for reading.

All activities are coordinated through the headship of Chief Librarian and supported by other library staffs. The Polytechnic library system has a seating capacity for 100 readers.

The current book stock stands at about 10,000 volumes. The Library also subscribe to about 200 journal title. This is an addition to a sizeable number of magazines, news magazines, newsletters with both foreign and local news paper.

In addition, the library has an extension of electronic library of over 30 exponentially seaters, with increasing volume of books, and journals that can be accessed for academic purposes using xlib library software. Departmental expertise also exists in the following areas:

• Record and Information management
• Preparation of bibliographers for researchers
• Indexing and abstracting of documents
• Teaching the writing of dissertation
• Production of identity cards
• Borrowing of books

Every student is entitled to borrow four books for two weeks. Books on reserve are lent on hourly basis for use within the Library. Rules and Regulation

6 The penalty for mutilation or outright stealing ranges from suspension from using the library to dismissal from the library or from the institution.
